Using digital play as a mode of learning to improve school readiness for lower income preschool children in South Africa.
During the Covid-19 pandemic a lot of South African children could not attend much needed Early Childhood Development Centres. I came up with the idea to create a mobile game to help with learning the skills required to start formal schooling. For now, the prototype is translated in English, Afrikaans, and Xhosa. But I hope with future funding opportunities I can publish the Mobile game in all South African languages, so that each child can learn in their mother tongue!
